UBC's Student Leadership Conference is taking place on January 12th, 2019!
Before you start the registration process, there is some information that you need to know:
This year, SLC registration will be based upon “streams”. Each of these streams has a theme, and the programming within each stream is related.
Here is how registration will work:
- Select a stream based on the theme you’re most interested in. Each stream has unique programming specifically targeted to that stream – for a full view of the streams go here.
- Once you have chosen a stream, you have multiple morning sessions to choose from that could include either a workshop or a living library. On the next page, you'll get to select your afternoon session. Make sure to select a different session than your morning one.
Workshops are sessions focused on introducing initiatives, stories, and new ways of thinking to delegates. Run by students, staff, and alumni, these sessions vary greatly in topic and host around 40 delegates in each session offering an interactive learning experience for those in attendance. Some workshops may span both your morning and afternoon session so make sure to read the individual descriptions before selecting your workshop.
The Living Library sessions give delegates a chance to "take out" a notable leader in our community, analogous to a library book. During these sessions, Living Library presenters will facilitate a discussion about a topic, theme or question they have experience with and are interested in. These sessions are designed to inspire and foster thoughtful dialogue between delegates, and provide an opportunity for meaningful discussions to take place.
- Choose your dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Pay or enter your group code- If you are unable to pay by credit card, please email email@example.com to arrange for in-person payment prior to registration. Please note that we are unable to process refunds. Thank you for your understanding.
See you at the conference!
Please note that we will try our best to ensure that all delegates attend the sessions of their choice, but all choices are subject to room capacities.
